The Jets are "bracing" to be the focal point of this season's preseason "Hard Knocks" despite "making it known publicly (and privately) their lack of interest" in doing so, according to a source. The Jets "fit the criteria" of a team that could be "required to do the show," along with the Bears, Saints and Commanders. Only the Commanders "would do it, if assigned," while the others have "made it clear they don't want to do it this year." While the Jets "technically can't decline," the NFL typically does "not make a team submit to Hard Knocks when it doesn't want to." The NFL also has begun "talking to some of the other 28 teams, hopeful to find a volunteer" (NBCSPORTS.com, 6/26).
