Nike officially ended its sponsorship of ManU F Mason Greenwood after he was arrested and subsequently released on police bail. Greenwood was arrested at the end of January on suspicion of rape and assault of a woman. He was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill before being released on bail last Wednesday. Nike initially suspended its relationship with the forward but it has now confirmed that the partnership has ended. ManU has confirmed that Greenwood will "not return to train or play for the club until further notice" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 2/7).
