Not Many New Concession Items Expected At Petco Park For All-Star Game Festivities

Delaware North, concessionaire for the Padres at Petco Park, has introduced a small handful of new food and beverage items for All-Star Game festivities this week, including an All-Star themed Michelada mixed drink and a deep-fried “Hashtag Dog.” However, compared to several other recent All-Star Games, the amount of newly created concepts is down considerably. “This market has always had a lot of choices, and you’re already rather hard-pressed to come up with something you can’t get now at this ballpark,” said Susan Hawke, GM of the company’s operations at Petco Park. “People ask what you’re doing for the All-Star Game, and we’re basically doing it 81 games a year.” The company did bring in several portable carts and additional points of sale to handle the increased crowds of All-Star week. Delaware North has been the host concessionaire for the last three All-Star Games.
