The Wild this coming season will "officially be changing" their goal song to Prince's "Let's Go Crazy!" following "feedback the team received from a survey it sent to season ticket holders this summer," according to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. Fans voted "nearly 2-to-1 in favor of changing the song." The team "used the song in its season-ending loss" to the Stars last postseason a "few days after the legendary artist's death" ( STARTRIBUNE.com, 8/23 ). The Wild since '05 "had played Joe Satriani's 'Crowd Chant' following goals at home games." The Islanders also use that song ( TWINCITIES.com, 8/23 ). The NHL in '96 used "Let's Go Crazy!" in an ad promoting that year's postseason ( THE DAILY ).
