Penn Medicine Is Flyers', Wells Fargo Center's New Health Provider

Penn Medicine will become the official health system of the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center, marking the hospital system's "first major sports sponsorship" since '14, according to John George of the PHILADELPHIA BUSINESS JOURNAL. The deal makes Penn Medicine the Flyers' "official medical services provider -- including on-ice, orthopedic and general practice care -- as well as the preferred provider for Comcast Spectacor front office personnel." The organizations also will "work together on a community health program." Penn Medicine will become the "presenting partner of the annual Gritty 5K that benefits Flyers Charities." The partnership also includes "public service announcements featuring Flyers players." Under the deal, Penn Medicine will "have branding throughout the Wells Fargo Center, including on the ice during Flyers games." Financial terms of the agreement, "including the length of the partnership, are being kept confidential" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/13).
