Trail Blazers G Damian Lillard stars in a new digital spot for Hulu in which he "performs an original song," according to Ilyse Liffreing of AD AGE. The effort is part of Hulu's campaign to "remind viewers that its live sports coverage is ongoing despite the pandemic" (ADAGE.com, 1/5). In Portland, Peter Socotch noted Lillard over the weekend "teased that he was coming out with a diss track." It came as "somewhat of a surprise considering that Dame D.O.L.L.A isn't really feuding with anyone right now." Socotch: "The whole thing was an ad for Hulu?" That is probably a "diss track that no one was expecting or saw coming." Give Hulu credit because they are "good at clowning on themselves while using big name athletes and capitalizing on their viral capabilities" (NBCSPORTSNORTHWEST.com, 1/4).
