Peacock will carry the French Open’s middle weekend night sessions exclusively as part of a multiyear deal that the NBC streaming service signed with the French Tennis Federation. The new deal encompasses 11 live hours of tennis from Roland-Garros: Eight total hours on June 5-6 (2:00-6:00pm ET each day) and three hours on June 7 (3:00pm-6:00pm). Specific financials were not disclosed. In addition to that package, Peacock will carry nine other hours of coverage -- including an opening day match and the men’s doubles final -- that originally was scheduled to be on the NBC broadcast channel. When the clay-court tournament pushed back the event schedule by a week, NBC ran into programming conflicts with the Indianapolis 500 and Olympic qualifying events, which caused the broadcaster to move those matches to the streaming service. Peacock also will carry replays of matches and stream a highlights show through the tournament. NBC Sports will produce all the coverage.
