MetLife Stadium going cashless for NFL games this fall

MetLife Stadium will go cashless this fall for Jets and Giants games, with the support of Appetize, its payments partner of four years. Cashless payment, whether through tap to pay cards or mobile wallets, like Apple Pay and Google Pay, is enabled at all point-of-sale devices in the stadium. The cashless mandate, which was announced late last week, extends to self-service kiosks and hawkers’ handheld POS devices. Appetize, which helped 12 MLB teams go cashless this season, is also offering mobile ordering for Giants and Jets fans. Using the teams’ apps, fans can order via their mobile device from anywhere in the stadium, then pick up their order at a designated concession stand. The stadium will also have six Grab N Go locations.
