U.S. Open men's winner Carlos Alcarazhas been an overnight sensation on Twitter and Instagram, adding almost 500,000 followers over the course of the two-week tournament. The 19-year-old Spaniard, now the world’s top-ranked player, had only one career ATP title to his name in 2021 and around 143,000 combined followers on Twitter and Instagram. His follower growth over the past year or so has been impressive, growing more than 1550% across Twitter and Instagram from his maiden ATP tournament win in Croatia on July 31, 2021, up to today for a sum of more than 2.3 million on both platforms.
