Sources: Big-12 remains interested in four Pac-12 schools

The Big 12 is “increasingly interested in adding on” to the conference's members if “the Pac-12 can’t keep its house together,” according to sources cited by Brian Smith of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. The news comes as Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark “continues to impress in year one” of his tenure. Add in the “almost impossible” idea of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders “pitching a team that went 1-11 last year to future recruits across Football America by first asking parents and family members if they have an annual subscription to Apple TV+.” Smith wrote situations like that are why “Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah were mentioned as potential Big 12 additions.” All four schools are also “more enticing to the Big 12, rather than the bigger brands of Oregon and Washington,” due to the schools' geographic location compared to its other member schools (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 2/25).
