The Penguins are trialing a new Cargill food locker delivery system called Chekt with their F&B partner, concessionaire Aramark. The trial began last month in the Ford Food Garage in Section 115 of PPG Paints Arena, adjacent to the Ford Lounge premium area, and features a new curated menu, including black truffle buffalo chicken tenders.
The process begins in the Penguins app, where fans place and pay for mobile F&B orders. The fan then receives a text confirmation -- via Tapin2’s mobile ordering fulfillment tech -- then another text telling them their food is ready. Each locker contains two chambers -- for hot or ambient temperature items -- where the food is placed until picked up by the fan. When the fan arrives at the lockers, they reply “here,” and the locker -- there are 24 in total -- containing their order lights up and unlocks.
