Engelbert: WNBA not playing in Saudi Arabia

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said the league is not considering playing an international game in Saudi Arabia, and stressed that any international efforts would only be made after consultations with players and sponsors. Engelbert spoke today at the SBJ Brand Innovation Summit in Chicago. After her on stage appearance, she followed up on comments reported by numerous media outlets on Wednesday. Engelbert: “We’re not considering playing in Saudi Arabia, but we are looking at a global games platform.”
