NBC Sports Athlete Direct

The network formed this NIL extension of its business last year with Damon Phillips, senior vice president of strategic initiatives, taking the lead. The idea is to introduce high-achieving athletes to brands, sponsors and advertisers that typically use their ad spend on NBC. The marketplace has teamed with Reading Partners for a campaign to promote early literacy. There’s also a CNBC connection that assists athletes with financial literacy and résumé writing.
