NASCAR has signed a deal with the Powerball lottery in what it calls a first for a major sports league, reports SBJ’s Adam Stern.
Powerball and NASCAR are working on a season-long promotion, kicking off with Sunday’s Daytona 500, that features a $1 million grand prize during a special drawing at NASCAR’s championship in Phoenix in November.
Several state lottery companies do one-off race entitlements with NASCAR, but this appears to be the first time that the series has leaned into the category in this manner.
