Sheffield United has signed a one-year principal partnership with Dubai-based financial services firm CFI Financial Group. The deal is initially for one year and will replace Randox. The health company's original contract with the club was for three years in the Championship and it also "included a first refusal option should promotion to the Premier League be secured in that time." They decided against that, meaning Sheffield United had to look elsewhere. Head of Commercial Paul Reeves has been working to bring in fresh investment and has turned down multi-million-pound offers from gambling firms before reaching an agreement with CFI. He said: "We have worked extremely hard to get CFI on board as we begin our journey back in the Premier League" (YORKSHIRE LIVE, 8/5).
