Shamrock, the Los Angeles-based firm that initially grew out of Walt Disney Company heir Roy E. Disney’s family office, has long deployed capital throughout the sports industry, with past investments ranging from FanDuel to Learfield to the Harlem Globetrotters. It led a $50 million Series B round for production company Religion of Sports in 2022, which came two years after its minority investment in talent agency Excel Sports Management. Andrew Howard and Michael LaSalle, who have more than 40 years at Shamrock between them, help oversee those investments alongside the firm’s stakes in Boardwalk Pictures, Pixellot and SpotOn.
