It’s been nearly six full months since Miriam Adelson and her family purchased majority interest in the Mavericks and made Patrick Dumont the team's governor, and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that he senses the partnership between Adelson, Dumont and former majority owner Mark Cuban is going "very well." Silver: "I’ve talked to Mark [Cuban] and have run into him several times over the course of the last few months and have begun much more involved with Patrick Dumont as the governor of the team. Yesterday "marked the first time Silver publicly addressed Adelson’s acquisition of the Mavericks" since All-Star Weekend in February. Silver said of Dumont, "He’s somebody who’s been talking to the league for years about potential team ownership; about their level of interest" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 6/13).
