Ted Tanner

Executive Vice President, Real Estate Development

Ted Tanner joined AEG in 1998 and has overseen the company’s global real estate portfolio ever since, beginning with L.A. Live and Crypto.com Arena, which opened in 1999 and was one of the first examples of sports venue-adjacent mixed-use development. Tanner is overseeing the planning and design of an 861-room expansion to the JW Marriott at L.A. Live. In the years since L.A. Live opened, AEG’s real estate efforts primarily have moved overseas, first with The O2 in London (an arena and entertainment district), and the recently renamed Uber Platz in Berlin, which includes the 15,000-seat Uber Arena and a mixed-use district. AEG’s real estate project list is growing with initiatives in Brazil, Japan and Southeast Asia. Tanner and AEG also consulted on Edmonton’s Ice District and a sizable mixed-use district and new stadium in Recife, Brazil, for the 2014 FIFA Men’s World Cup. — B.M.
