Monahan, Al-Rumayyan to play in Dunhill Links

For the first time since the LIV Golf saga erupted, the "heads of the three golfing states" -- PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, LIV Chair Yasir Al-Rumayyan and DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings -- are "expected to be on public display at the same time and at the same venue this week" when they all come to St Andrews. Monahan will be playing in the DP World Tour's Dunhill Links alongside PGA Tour player Billy Horschel.Sources said that Al-Rumayyan -- the governor of the Saudi PIF -- is "also expected to tee it up" in the event, which features amateurs appearing alongside pros. This would be the second time in as many years that Al-Rumayyan participates, although "it is a sign of easing tensions that on this occasion he will not have to arrive under the cover of darkness and bearing an assumed name." Last year, Al-Rumayyan competed under the fictitious name of "Andrew Waterman" (London TELEGRAPH, 10/1).
