Hy-Vee will "not renew its agreement to be the primary sponsor" on the No. 45 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda during next year's IndyCar season, ending a five-year partnership. Hy-Vee will “instead focus on its other IndyCar sponsorships.” During the relationship between RLL and Hy-Vee, its drivers and owners became ambassadors for Hy-Vee. In July 2023, RLL co-owner David Letterman bagged groceries at Hy-Vee's Grimes store, and No. 45 driver Christian Lundgaard made an appearance at the same store in 2024. Hy-Vee’s plans “have also changed” after Jeremy Gosch succeeded Randy Edeker as Hy-Vee CEO in January 2023 (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 10/12).
