Corso misses 'GameDay' due to 'minor procedure'

ESPN's Lee Corso was absent from Saturday's "College GameDay" in Atlanta due to what host Rece Davis announced was a “minor procedure.” Davis said, “He’s doing great. [We] look forward to getting Lee back here in the postseason.” Corso has “already had a number of health-related absences” from the show, making him “an inconsistent member of the program” (N.Y. POST, 12/7).

Actor Timothée Chalamet “gave an impassioned performance” as guest picker on "GameDay." Chalamet “impressed the show’s hosts with his apparent depth of college football knowledge, stunning the internet as well as the big names” on the show. The “football chops” Chalamet showed Saturday “nonetheless subverted expectations” about the 28-year-old actor. Among other picks, Chalamet notably selected Texas to beat Georgia in the SEC Championship, Oregon over Penn State in the Big Ten Championship and Arizona State over Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship (WASHINGTON POST, 12/7).
