USA Judo has hired Corinne Shigemoto as its new CEO, elevating a former judoka, coach and executive to lead the national governing body. No search firm was used in the hire.

Shigemoto previously spent 18 years with USA Judo in various roles, including as COO and director of several departments. A four-time national champion as an athlete, she was an alternate on the 1988 Olympic team. She coached the women's Olympic team for the Atlanta Games in 1996.

Shigemoto replaces Keith Bryant, who led the NGB since 2016.
