U.S. Ski and Snowboard has partnered with Ski Austria to develop commercial and sport performance opportunities, marking the first time the national governing body has formed an official partnership with an international peer organization.
Responsible for managing skiing and snowboarding in their respective countries, U.S. Ski and Snowboard and Ski Austria plan to develop shared marketing opportunities for sponsors and media, as well as collaborate on social media and potentially on new events.
On the sport performance side, they plan to expand training opportunities by allowing reciprocal access to training facilities for elite and developmental athletes. U.S. Ski and Snowboard and Ski Austria also plan to share best practices in coaching, sport science and other areas of expertise.
CEO Sophie Goldschmidt will manage the partnership on the commercial side for U.S. Ski and Snowboard, while chief of sport Anouk Patty will manage the sport performance side.
