Executive Transactions - February 14, 2025

Populous named BRUCE MILLER CEO & Global Chair. Miller had been Managing Dir of the Americas region, and he replaces EARL SANTEE, who transitions to Exec Chair (and will remain on the company’s BOD). JONATHAN MALLIE will fill Miller’s role as Managing Dir of the Americas region, while continuing to serve as Global Dir of the Global Holdings board. CHRISTOPHER LEE -- current Managing Dir of the EMEA region -- will become Vice Chair of the BOD and Global Head of Design. RICHARD BRESLIN -- Managing Dir of the APAC region -- joins the BOD and will continue in a Global Dir role with the Global Holdings board (Bret McCormick, SBJ).

The CW Network named MICHAEL PERMAN SVP/Sports. He will report to CW President Brad Schwartz and will oversee all strategy, programming and media rights on behalf of CW Sports. Perman arrives from media agency Aggregate Sports, where he served as SVP/Global Media Rights. He previously was VP/Programming at NBC Sports and spent time at the NBA (Mollie Cahillane, SBJ).

The Tewaaraton Foundation named Premier Lacrosse League co-founders MIKE and PAUL RABIL to its BOD. The brothers co-founded the PLL in 2018 while Paul currently serves as President and Mike serves as CEO (Tewaaraton Foundation).

The NCAA promoted Managing Dir/Championships and Alliances, External Operations CHRIS TERMINI to VP/Championships Business Affairs (NCAA).

The BWT Alpine F1 team named Nielsen Sports Senior Consultant BRADEN HURLEY VP/U.S. Commercial, Partnership Strategy & Solutions. Hurley served as the Nielsen Sports U.S. F1 lead where he advised clients including Salesforce, Google, CashApp, and Hyland on their F1 investments in addition to brands and rights holders across traditional sports (SBJ).

USA Football announced the five members of its new Athlete Advisory Council: DELIAH AUTRY, SHENEIKA COMICE, American Flag Football League VP/League & Football Operation MICHELLE ROQUE-PASKOW, CHANTÉ BONDS, and former USA Football board member BRAD SMITHEY (USA Football).

The Detroit Sports Commission announced that Deputy Dir. MARTY DOBEK has been promoted to Executive Dir. Dobek will succeed DAVE BEACHNAU, who will become the Detroit Local Organizing Committee for the 2027 Men’s Final Four CEO. Dobek was previously the primary liaison to the NFL for the 2024 NFL Draft (Detroit Sports Commission).
