The Big East announced that Senior Associate Commissioner/Sports Media Relations JOHN PAQUETTE will retire at the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year. Paquette has served at the Big East in the lead communications role since 1990 after four years at Seton Hall (Big East).

X Games named TIMOTHY MESSNER Chief Legal Officer. Messner spent two decades at DISH Network, where he most recently served as EVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. Before his tenure at DISH, Messner practiced law with a N.Y.-based firm and worked with KPMG in the banking and technology sectors (X Games).

The UFL named longtime Texans exec DEREK BEEMAN SVP/Ticket Sales & Service. Beeman worked at the Lightning early in his career before going to Houston for more than 19 years, including the last five as VP/Ticket & Event Sales (Ben Fischer, SBJ).

Celtics Dir of Scouting REMY COFIELD, who has served in that role since 2020, is “leaving the professional world behind to become the GM of Arkansas athletics” (SI, 3/11). Cofield previously served as GM of the Maine Red Claws, the Celtics' G-League affiliate. The Celtics first hired Cofield in 2013 (Fort Smith SOUTHWEST TIMES RECORD, 3/11).
