Georgia Tech’s athletic budget is “on the rise once again” as its board of trustees approved the FY2026 budget, “planning to work with” a $159M total, according to Chad Bishop of the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION. That figure is an increase from the FY2025 budget of $137M. A “good majority of the increased budget” is $20.5M dedicated to revenue sharing. According to the board’s proposal, that extra $20.5M has been “funded by a number of different sources and through additional fundraising support.” GT also “stands to net” $10M when it plays Georgia in football at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Nov. 28 (the first time that rivalry game is at a neutral site) (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 6/13).
