The NHL will “hold a competitive, on-ice All-Star event” at UBS Arena in 2027, according to Andrew Gross of NEWSDAY. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly, when asked about league events at UBS Arena in 2026 and 2027, said, “We’re going to change up the format of what we’re doing next year. It’s not going to be an on-ice competition. It’s going to be some other entertainment event that the players will attend. And then we’re going to have a competitive event at UBS in 2027 that we’re in the process of figuring out” (NEWSDAY, 6/27). In April, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said that the league event at UBS Arena in February 2026 will be a kickoff going to the Olympics rather than the previously announced All-Star Weekend (SBJ).
