WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY’s Jean Palmieri reported country singer Luke Combs is partnering with the Carolina Panthers to “unveil an exclusive merchandise collaboration.” The line of “vintage-inspired pieces from brands including Mossy Oak, ’47, Bettinardi, Homage and Columbia Sportswear were personally selected” by Combs. It also marks the return of the Panthers Swiper logo after 31 years. The merchandise will be available today beginning at 11am at both the Panthers Team Store at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and online (WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY, 11/19).
TRAVEL PARTNER: In S.F., Alex Barreira reported the 49ers inked a multiyear, “first-of-its-kind deal with San Francisco Travel to drive tourism from international markets.” The cross-promotional campaigns are aimed at “two of the Bay Area’s most consequential visitor markets” -- the U.K. and Mexico. The deal also makes S.F. Travel the official domestic travel partner for the 49ers. S.F. Travel will “receive prominent visibility at Levi’s Stadium -- featuring digital videoboard and LED signage -- and experiential gameday activations.” The 49ers’ global agency of record, Elevate, will support the partnership’s efforts (SAN FRANCISCO BUSINESS JOURNAL, 11/19).
EMBRACE THE FUN: In Milwaukee, Kendra Meinert notes that with the Toyotathon stretch of the season approaching, Packers QB Jordan Love’s “level of play seems to surge.” Toyotathon runs from mid-November to early January, and Love’s strong play during that stretch has led to a lighthearted fan theory connecting his performance to the promotion. Toyota has issued a “limited-run of 250 Panini cards this year,” and each is “numbered and contains an embedded piece of Love’s Toyotathon sweater.” The QB’s Toyotathon stats are “on the back.” The cards are in the “trusted hands of select Toyota dealers in Wisconsin” (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 11/20).
