Few have changed the business of football the same way Tom Condon has. The former offensive lineman turned lawyer brought a new level of credibility and intelligence to NFL contract negotiations after he became an NFLPA agent in the late 1980s. As one of the founding fathers of CAA’s football division when he joined the agency after leaving IMG in 2006, he has represented some of the NFL’s elite players, including brothers Peyton and Eli Manning and Drew Brees. Today’s shifting NFL landscape filled with huge contracts and extremely sophisticated athlete representation can partly be traced to Condon, his connections and his understanding of the collective-bargaining agreement.
