“Sunday Night Basketball” debuts on NBC/Peacock with a doubleheader featuring Knicks-Lakers (7pm ET) and Thunder-Nuggets (9:30pm ET), the first time the NBA has been on NBC on a Sunday since Game 3 of the 2002 NBA Finals. “Basketball Night in America,” an on-site pregame show modeled after “Football Night in America” that will be in a different arena each week, begins at 6pm with Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady, with contributions from Caitlin Clark and Bob Costas, who is returning to NBC. The inaugural show also will have the announcement of the reserves for the NBA All-Star Game. For Knicks-Lakers, Mike Tirico has play-by-play, with Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford and courtside reporter Zora Stephenson. For Thunder-Nuggets, Noah Eagle has the play-by-play, with Grant Hill and courtside reporter Ashley ShahAhmadi (NBC Sports).
