Atlanta Mayor Says Hawks Eyeing Three Options For Future Arena
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed today said that the Hawks are "considering three options for a future arena, including the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center." Reed also said that the team is "eyeing an undisclosed location in the city or renovating Philips Arena." He added that he "would support any 'reasonable' plan to ensure the Hawks remain in Atlanta" ( BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/23 ). Reed said that he has "met once with the team' new owners and repeated his willingness to consider a deal" involving public funds ( AJC.com, 7/23 ).
