Study reveals ManU's losses on transfers since '12

ManU reportedly has the largest number of transfer losses in Europe "in the last decade," according to Swiss-based research institute the CIES Football Observatory. Since '12, the club has maintained a "negative net spend of more than one billion euros," more than its rivals Man City. The study revealed that Man has spent €1.545B euros on transfers, making €470M ($537.7M) euros back in player sales. ManU broke the EPL transfer record when they signed Paul Pogba in '16 for £89.5M. Man City is second in the table with a negative net spend of €984M and has spent €1.7B on players in the past decade but made €715B in sales. PSG was third with losses of €914M and Barcelona fourth with €650M. Arsenal completed the top five with losses of €583M (BBC, 2/7).
