By Tripp Mickle , Staff Writer, SportsBusiness Journal U.S. Soccer Federation COO JAY BERHALTER is leaving the organization to join the Kentaro Group, a sports media rights agency. Berhalter, 38, will become the President of a new Kentaro office in the U.S. He joined U.S. Soccer in '00 as COO after previously working for the '94 and '03 men's and women's World Cup organizing committees, an MLS team and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Kentaro has media rights to more than 20 international soccer federations and manages exhibition matches for the Brazilian national team.
