Richard Codey Tops Star-Ledger's List Of Top 25 Sports Brokers

New Jersey state Senate President RICHARD CODEY tops the Newark STAR-LEDGER's inaugural list of the New Jersey area's Top 25 most powerful sports brokers because he has "influence on every level in sports," according to the paper's Steve Politi. Codey, who has held a public office in the state since '74, has "provided the funds to start a controversial statewide steroids testing program for high school athletes." Codey also is a "diehard Seton Hall basketball booster," and he was "instrumental in getting a deal done" for the new Giants/Jets Meadowlands stadium.
