SI Group Moves Jim Cavan From The Cauldron Over To FanSided.com To Lead Editorial

FanSided.com, part of the SI Group, has named JIM CAVAN Editor-in-Chief, a newly created role designed to help accelerate what has already been a run of growth for the site. Cavan previously was Senior Editor of The Cauldron, also associated with SI, and has also been with Bleacher Report, the N.Y. Times, ESPN.com and Grantland, among other outlets. Cavan will report to FanSided VP/Content PATRICK ALLEN . The site, acquired in May '15 by SI parent Time Inc., has seen its monthly unique visitors grow to more than 10 million, according to comScore, doubling its reach from a year ago. FanSided also recently opened a new editorial HQ in Chicago and expanded its tech operations in Phoenix.
