Oklahoma State Upgrading Boone Pickens Stadium Concessions

Oklahoma State will "give fans a revamped experience this fall" for football games at Boone Pickens Stadium, according to Nathan Ruiz of the OKLAHOMAN. In addition to a $5M, 6,160-square-foot video board attached to Gallagher-Iba Arena beyond the east end zone, the stadium will also "add a food court in the plaza level of the west end zone and various 'cool zones' throughout the venue." OSU will also begin "opening POSSE parking lots ... on game days regardless of kickoff time, providing fans with more time to tailgate." The food court is "through a partnership with Sodexo." The "cool zones" will "include fans, misters and free water stations" ( OKLAHOMAN, 7/10 ). The concession upgrades cost $1.5M, and every concessions stand "will feature additional points of sale." In all, there will be 300 "total concession points of sale, all with the ability to accept credit cards and Apple Pay." OSU also has "partnered with Tailgate Guys" ( TULSA WORLD, 7/10 ).
