Larry Scott: Pac-12 China Game In November Still Scheduled For Now

The Univ. of Washington is scheduled to play Tulane on Nov. 14 in Shanghai in the sixth edition of the Pac-12 China Game, and Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said the conference has "not made any decisions" on the game, so "at the moment it is still on," according to James Crepea of the Portland OREGONIAN. Scott on Wednesday during an appearance on KORE-FM said, "It's scheduled but we are in regular communication with our campuses about it, with our partners, Alibaba and other partners in China." He added, "There is contingency plans going on about alternatives if we're not comfortable from a health and safety standpoint traveling student-athletes internationally to China at that point in time. We will have backup plans so that UW has a game (and) is not harmed by it" (Portland OREGONIAN, 4/17).
