NFL Alumni Association Will Supply Discounted COVID-19 Antibody Tests to Retired Players

Biotechnology firm RayBiotech has partnered with the NFL Alumni Association to supply COVID-19 rapid antibody test kits to retired NFL players. The tests detect the presence of IgM or IgG antibodies via a finger prick blood sample.

The partnership includes agreements with healthcare providers Streamline Medical Group and 1271 Partners, who will distribute RayBiotech’s tests to the NFL Alumni Association. RayBiotech’s COVID-19 test kits are being sold on its website to laboratory and health professionals for $280. According to an NFL Alumni press release, NFLA members and their families can now purchase the kits at a 50% discount.

The NFL Alumni Association consists of 35 chapters across the U.S. Players and staff across Major League Baseball recently joined a massive antibody study in hopes of determining the true scale of COVID-19 in the U.S.
