NBA, DoorDash Team Up to Support Black-Owned Restaurants

The NBA and food delivery service DoorDash have signed a multi-year sponsorship deal aimed at promoting Black-owned restaurants. The deal went into effect this NBA postseason and makes DoorDash the first on-demand delivery platform of the NBA, WNBA and NBA 2K League.

As part of the #PlayItForward social media campaign, DoorDash  will donate one dollar (up to $100,000) to the National Urban League every time a user places an order from a Black-owned restaurant listed on DoorDash through August.

DoorDash was also named the first presenting partner of the NBA 2K League Playoffs, which start Aug. 20. The food delivery platform will also be promoted at future NBA All-Star events.
