TraceSafe has partnered with the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship to provide players and staff with contact tracing devices. Event members will be supplied with TraceSafe wristbands that will monitor whether or not they are complying with the required hotel room self-isolation period upon arrival.
TraceSafe will additionally embed contact tracing beacons in team and tournament staff’s event credentials, as well as provide social distancing reminders and real-time contact tracing through bluetooth technology. TraceSafe also recently signed a deal to provide devices to staff at Boston’s TD Garden .
The 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship will begin on Christmas Day in Canada and take place without spectators at Rogers Place in Edmonton, which previously hosted part of the NHL’s playoff bubble.
