The NBA will allow fully vaccinated personnel to travel internationally under the condition they follow government guidelines, according to a memo sent to teams and acquired by ESPN .
International travel for scouting purposes was previously banned throughout the 2020-21 season, but vaccinated team personnel in the U.S. will now be permitted to attend international games and practices to scout overseas prospects.
Individuals who have received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines will be eligible seven days after their second dose, while those who receive the Johnson & Johnson shot will be considered fully vaccinated after 14 days.
The announcement follows the league’s recent ease of restrictions on vaccinated personnel, including players, staff and guests.
