iHeartMedia and the NFL have partnered to introduce a podcast network for the league that will develop two dozen new podcasts while simultaneously distributing the existing roster. The new podcasts will touch on subjects such as NFL history and inner workings of the league; there will be collaboration with NFL Films in the production of new shows.
NFL Media currently runs seven podcasts, including the football news show Around the NFL, the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast, and Move the Sticks by former NFL scouts Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. The new podcasts, which will be in development by summer, will be distributed by iHeartPodcast Network and available on all platforms where podcasts are offered.
iHeartMedia is the top podcast publisher in the world, with more than 250 million monthly listeners, according to Podtrac .
