Sportfive expands golf business, acquires Global Golf Management

Sportfive has acquired Chicago-based Global Golf Management as the agency looks to expand its golf business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Global Golf Management principals Mike Harmon and Jeff Raedle will both assume the new titles of Exec VP/Golf Events for Sportfive and will report to President of Global Golf Steve Loy. Harmon and Raedle will lead Sportfive’s golf events division in the U.S. and will oversee the existing tournaments that Sportive manages, including the PGA Tour’s The American Express and the Fortinet Championship, as well as an organizer of Capital One’s The Match series. Global Golf Management was formed in '89 and manages and consults on a wide range of events across the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour and LPGA tour. The company has a staff of 25 people and will continue to be based in Chicago.
