Golfer Brooks Koepka has "signed a multiyear deal with Cleveland/Srixon to play the company’s clubs and ball, with several changes to the bag coming this week for The Match against Bryson DeChambeau," according to E. Michael Johnson of GOLF DIGEST. Koepka had been the "biggest equipment free agent in golf" after five years without an equipment contract following Nike's exit from the club business in '16. In addition to the ZX7 irons, Koepka "will use a 9.5-degree Srixon ZX5 driver." Koepka also will "play a Srixon Z-Star prototype golf ball and have a Srixon staff bag." Koepka first put Srixon's irons in play at The American Express in January of this year (GOLFDIGEST.com, 11/22). GOLF.com's Jonathan Wall notes financial terms of the multiyear agreement "were not disclosed, but the deal is no doubt a significant one for both parties." Koepka is the "first domino to fall in what should be a busy offseason for pros with expiring equipment contracts" (GOLF.com, 11/22).
