NBA, WNBA name second class for youth leadership development program

The NBA and WNBA today are announcing the second cohort of the Jr. NBA Court of Leaders. It is a program launched in April 2021 that aims to support the development of young boys and girls through mentorship opportunities and life skills programming. It consists of top youth basketball players who have demonstrated strong leadership qualities during elite tournaments, camps and competitions. Programming will tip-off this weekend with an educational trip to D.C. featuring tours of the White House, National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. In addition, Jr. NBA Court of Leaders members will attend Saturday’s Jazz-Wizards game, receive a tour of Capital One Arena and watch the pre-game shootaround. Activities will also include a youth leadership development workshop and basketball workout session.
