Shoot your shot: Australia's NBL makes pitch to Bronny James

Australia’s National Basketball League has “initiated conversations with Bronny James’ management in the hope of enticing” the high school senior to play in Australia next season, according to Michael Randall of the Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH. James, the son of LeBron James, cannot play in the NBA until the 2024-25 season, and reports have him choosing between college basketball, the G League Ignite team or the NBL beforehand. NBL owner Larry Kestelman is trying to “seize on an opportunity to orchestrate what would be the single biggest coup” in league history. Kestelman: “It’s a long shot, but the conversation has begun and we’ll be in the mix” (Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH, 1/24).
