Prominent reporters leave respective publications

The Boston Sports Journal's Sean McAdam wrote this past weekend was his last at the publication. McAdam: “This was not an easy decision for me, but one, ultimately, that I felt I needed to make.” McAdam was an “original staff member” and in the six years he was there, he wrote: “I enjoyed complete freedom to write what I wanted…. I valued that independence.” McAdam added that the social media world “can be a toxic one. …Thankfully, that same environment never got a foothold at BSJ” (BOSTON SPORTS JOURNAL, 4/30). Meanwhile, NBCSPORTS.com's Peter King notes the K.C. Star's Herbie Teope and the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian are leaving their respective newspapers. King writes, "You’ve both taught me a lot about the game, and about the teams you’ve covered. Best of luck in life and next chapters" (NBCSPORTS.com, 5/1).
