The WWE’s first foray outside the U.S. for its "Money in the Bank" PPV and the June 30 edition of "Friday Night SmackDown" in London drew a combined gate record of more than $5.4M, becoming the highest-grossing arena event in WWE history for both shows. Both events were held at The O2 arena in London with MITB becoming the first major event held by the company in London since 2002. The June 30 "SmackDown" on Fox went against the start of NBA Summer League and drew 2.51 million total viewers, up 17% from last year and became the No. 1 show in the 18-49 age demographic with 897,000 total viewers, up 39% from last year. Socially, this year’s main event featuring Roman Reigns and the Usos reached 40 million viewers in the first 48 hours.
