Buccaneers see high demand for new creamsicle jerseys

The Buccaneers' new creamsicle jerseys “are flying off the shelves” since going on sale to the public Wednesday, according to Joey Knight of the TAMPA BAY TIMES. Buccaneers COO Brian Ford said that demand for the jerseys has “been ‘phenomenal’ since they went on sale to the public." Ford said the team “anticipated a heavy demand,” but the "initial reaction exceeded even our greatest expectations.” Ford would not “quantify exactly how many jerseys were sold in the first 24 hours,” but he indicated that the reaction both locally and nationally has been “overwhelmingly positive.” Ford said that despite the “extraordinary initial demand,” the team “has plenty of creamsicle still in stock,” both at their team e-commerce site and at the official team store at Raymond James Stadium. The “craze” likely will culminate Oct. 15, when the team wears the retro jerseys for its home game against the Lions (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 7/13).
