IndyCar Ready To Announce Return To Laguna Seca
IndyCar today is expected to formally announce its " return to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca " following a vote by the Monterey, Calif., board of supervisors. IndyCar CEO Mark Miles indicated that after the track is officially added to the schedule, "dominoes will start to fall ... but even he is not totally certain in which direction." The "presumption is that the announcement of Laguna Seca will be the final nail in the coffin" of Sonoma Raceway, the "site of IndyCar’s finale for the past three seasons" ( INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 7/17 ).
